Luis Martinez-Monfort
For the past 24 years, Luis has represented a broad spectrum of individual and commercial clients in the areas of real estate litigation, commercial litigation, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights. Luis is admitted to practice in all Florida State and Federal Courts.
Before forming Martinez-Monfort P.A., Luis served as the head litigation partner with a local, real estate boutique law firm.
Luis is involved with the Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce, and is the past Chair for Leadership Tampa Alumni. Luis is a past-president of the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association and is a founding member of the Board of Directors for the Tampa Hispanic Bar Foundation.
In July 2020, Luis was appointed the Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army for Tampa Bay by the Honorable Ryan D. McCarthy, Secretary of the Army. Civilian Aides to the Secretary of the Army (CASAs) are business and community leaders appointed by the Secretary to advise and support Army leaders across the country. Each is proactively involved in the community and brings to the position an interest in the Army, a high degree of business and civic leadership and an ability to influence the public. CASAs are Special Government Employees who agree to serve as representatives of the Secretary of the Army without salary, wages or related benefits, and are afforded a 3-star protocol status.
A lifelong resident of Tampa and a graduate of Jesuit High School, Luis is active in several civic, charitable and social organizations. He serves on the Jesuit High School Foundation and is a parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church. He is a member of the Palma Ceia Golf and Country Club, the University Club of Tampa and Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla. Luis enjoys traveling, scuba diving, watching Tampa Bay sports, playing tennis and spending time with his wife, daughter and son.
